About:   I've always found myself drawn to the dark and disturbing sounds of bands such as Nirvana and Nine Inch Nails and began to emulate them in my guitar compositions. Jamming along with friends and CDs I developed a sense of timing and an understanding of beats. In early '95 I was recruited to play the guitar in a death metal band called Deprecated. Whose gutteral vocals and menacing drum beats were both audiodynamically stimulating as well as challenging to assimilate. We played with the likes of Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Dying Fetus, and Slayer to name a few. In 1997 a childhood friend (Dj Synik)introduced me to a type of electronic music I had only been exposed to breifly on a couple of occasions, Drum and Bass.I began buying my favorite tracks. I remember cursing the enormity of my penis for the fact I couldn't copulate with my favorite pieces of vinyl. That hole is pretty small;) The genre of drum n bass I am drawn to is called Tech Step. The natural electronic progression from death metal. It was dark and sometimes evil. It was stomping sometimes rolling! "Good fuckin shit" I've been spinning records for three and a half years now. Which didn't last more than 4 months. I'm feeling the styles of E-sassin, Kemal, Tech Itch and Vector Burn in my blood. I just got Logic ....... illestmindset - "Certified NueroPhunkologost schooled in the arts of Cranium Rinseology"

Name:  D-CEPTICON

From:  San Diego
About:  Born within the era of funk in '78, this DJ has always had a connection to music. Starting at age 5, D-CEPTICON had an ear for faster, more technological beats. He soon started recording songs off the radio like "Planet Rock", "Egyptian Lover", and other huge breakbeats at that time, ( about '84). Following the style of music into his early teens, he noticed as it evolved into Hip-Hop, and he soon got into break dancing and street art. He loved Hip-Hop, but missed the fast BPMs, and soon he discovered Techno. D-CEPTICON has been into electronic music since '91, listening to groups and producers like "Aphrodite", "The Prodigy", and "Lords Of Acid", he knew that the rave scene was what he was looking for. In '96 he found it. He started raving and two months later started spinning the music that he loved to dance to. This San Diego based DJ has spun for underground raves throughout San Diego, Cali. D-CEPTICON focuses on the dark key sounds of progressive, acid, and raw style in his Drum and Bass, throwing down hard pounding sets that are not to be missed.

About:  Drone grew up on the east coast which influnced his style as a dj today. He was first exposed to the electronic scene in the early 90's to old school hardcore, and was hooked.
